UCSB Temporary Dance Studio

The Temporary Dance Studio at the University of California Santa
Barbara was erected for use while the permanent dance facility was
torn down and reconstructed. The design, provided by DesignArc,
is simple, functional and yet attention getting. Melchiori Construction
Company provided the 2,400 square foot facility, to serve dance
students effectively. The structure is tent like with translucent,
mylar-coated fabric stretched between prefabricated, extruded metal
frames. The structure exudes simplicity and elegance and exists
without any use of artificial lighting during the day.
