Garden Court on De La Vina

Location: Santa Barbara, California
The Garden Court on De La Vina was built in response to a desperate
need for low income housing for the frail elderly that were displaced
due to the demolition of a downtown retirement hotel. This project
included the action of tearing down five dilapidated buildings and
constructing 97 units of studio apartments in a three-story building.
During a time when many communities are finding it difficult to
provide affordable housing for seniors, Garden Court provides not
only beauty and shelter, but also a model financing arrangement.
Melchiori Construction Company provided total construction for this
well needed project.
