Steven D. Pivato
Corporate Secretary
Steven entered the construction trade in 1974 working for local
Santa Barbara companies. He commenced his apprenticeship in the
trade in 1975 with G&M Builders and served his entire program under
Ugo L. Melchiori.
In 1982 Steve became lead foreman for G&M Builders with responsibilities
ranging from crew management to project coordination. From 1982
to 1988 Steve became well versed in all areas of project management
and became project supervisor for G&M builders. In 1989 with the
change of G&M Builders to Melchiori Construction Company Steve took
on the critical role of head superintendent and stockholder in the
corporation.
In 1990 Steve began his education in the seismic rehabilitation
field and on August 14, 1990 was certified by the Southern California
and the City of Los Angeles as a certified construction supervisor
for seismic projects. This education has helped advance and open
Melchiori Construction Company to the large market of seismic work
throughout the City of Santa Barbara.
